&

The Taming of the Shrew

The Plimoth Players will bring the exciting tradition of the touring player to life this summer!

On July 18th, the curtain will rise on Plimoth Plantation's spectacular third season of live Shakespeare repertory theatre. The Plimoth Players will bring the tradition of the touring player to life as audience members are guests in the great hall of a 17th-century English manor house, and are entertained in an intimate theatre setting. Six actors will play all of the roles, both male and female.

Enjoy a six week run of Hamlet and The Taming of the Shrew in the Museum's Shelby Cullom Davis Gallery, fondly referred to as the Black Box Theatre.

A specially priced preview performance of Hamlet will be offered on July 11th, with at 8:00 p.m.

Repertory performances will begin on July 13 with Hamlet at 8:00 p.m.. Thereafter Hamlet will be performed on Wednesday and Friday nights, The Taming of the Shrew on Thursdays and Saturdays. The two plays run until Labor Day Weekend, with the last performance of the season on September 1st at 8:00 p.m.

Who We Are

Plimoth Plantation is a not-for-profit museum supported by admissions, contributions, grants and generous volunteers.

What We Do

Plimoth Plantation, a bicultural museum, offers powerful personal encounters with history built on thorough research about the Wampanoag People and the Colonial English community in the 1600s. Our exhibits, programs, live interpreters, and historic settings encourage a new level of understanding about present-day issues affecting communities around the world.
