Join HGP for food, drink and good cheer as we auction off unique experiences to benefit HGP's transitional employment program.

About this event

You are invited to join HGP for a delightful evening at the farm, featuring good food, good wine, and good community cheer in support of HGP's proven transitional employment program.

The main event will be our live auction, featuring fantastic experiential offerings and your participation and purchases will help sustain HGP’s successful 90% graduate employment and stable housing rate! Auction items include:

  • Private lunch for up to 8 people personally cooked by acclaimed Chef David Kinch at Amaya Ridge Vineyard
  • Birdwatching Outing with Author Jonathan Franzen
  • Personal lunch with innovator Guy Kawasaki
  • A weeklong stay at a lovely home in Galway, Ireland
  • 3 hr sail on the San Francisco Bay, for up to 4 people, leaving from Sausalito, with a stop at Angel Island for lunch
  • Day pass to Esalen Institute in Big Sur
  • 2 nights in a riverside room at Yosemite View Lodge
  • Home Garden Consultation with HGP Farm Manager Ella Fleming
  • A visit from the Refrigerator Fairy - a home service from a local chef who cleans out your refrigerator and creates delicious meals

  • Farm lunch and tour with HGP's Executive Director, Darrie Ganzhorn

The Sustain Auction will be held this Spring, Saturday, April 23rd from 3:30-6:30pm at HGP's Natural Bridges Farm. Come join us and let’s share in community spirit as we work together to provide sustainable solutions that support people to find the tools they need to build a home in the world.

Please note: We will follow recommended Covid-19 safety procedures for gatherings of this size this Spring.

In the soil of our urban farm and garden, people find the tools they need to build a home in the world. The Homeless Garden Project provides job training, transitional employment and support services to people who are homeless. 85% of our graduates go on to find employment and secure housing. Programs take place on our organic seaside farm, crafts workshop, and downtown Santa Cruz retail store featuring products made in our training program. Our community education and volunteer program serves more than 1500 people each year.
