Fall Dance Convention at Troy Community Center

  • 1 day workshop
  • Quality Master class teachers
  • 5 classes
  • Classes taught in large dance classrooms with mirrors and dance floors
  • 2 rooms divided by age/level. You choose which level fits your dancer best Junior (recommended age 12 and under) or Senior room (recommended age 13 & over)

$88 Registration due by September 22nd

$100 late registration available September 23rd-30th if space allows

12:15 PM-6:15 PM- 5 classes & lunch break

JAZZ - Kendall Duda is trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, acro/gymnastics, and theatrical arts throughout Michigan, Chicago, and Los Angeles. She is a Detroit Pistons Dancer. Her philosophy is dance should always reflect an appreciation of the gift that you’ve been given. Never give up!


BALLET EDGE - Angel Lavery, originally from CA has a relentless passion for ballet and jazz. She was a San Francisco 49ers cheerleader, has performed with the Santa Clara Ballet and Peninsula Ballet, at the Detroit Opera House. She is the founder of Ballet Edge Company. Angel is honored to be on staff with The Studio of Rochester.

B-BOY - Tyler Piro is an experienced hip hop dancer with a competition record spanning the contiguous United States. He specializes in popping, locking, animation, and break dancing. Tyler has been performing & choreographing with Piston's entertainment for 5 years He has had the privilege of performing with artists such as DNCE, Cee-Lo Green, and B.o.B. Tyler is excited to work with The Studio of Rochester!

TAP - Nicole Redko has training in jazz, ballet, lyrical, musical theater, hip hop, and her favorite – tap! Her dance showcases include Motor City Choreographer's Collective, Detroit Motor City Tap, wedding showcases, bat mitzvahs and flash mobs. Nicole is currently working on her master's degree in at U of D Mercy and continues with her passion of competitive teaching. She wishes to spread the love of dance!

STREET - Corey “Mission” Whitfield is from Detroit and has been dancing since the age of 5. With no formal training, he has climbed his way to the top of the hip hop scene around the country. He has appeared on So You Think You Can Dance, making it all the way to the end of Vegas week! Corey is currently a Detroit Pistons Dancer/Choreographer and former Director for D-Town. He is well rounded in popping, locking, animation, break dancing, krumping, house dancing, voguing, whacking, tutting and Detroit Jit.
