Every Wednesday at The Vortex from 5 to 7 PM, The Strindberg Laboratory brings hope to segments of society affected by the increasing gap between rich and poor. It’s one of the only theater companies in Los Angeles County whose members consist largely of formerly incarcerated individuals. Its reentry program provides jobs, education opportunities and reentry services allowing members to succeed upon release from a correctional institution. The workshops are presented in cooperation with HomeFront Rising and other local community organizations, sometimes inside jails or prisons.
