About this event
Join the Siuslaw Chapter of Surfrider Foundation and Siuslaw Watershed Council for a virtual screening of The Story of Plastic and a Q&A panel discussion at 6:00 pm. Tickets are by donation and benefit the Siuslaw Chapter of Surfrider Foundation's long running water quality monitoring program.
The Story of Plastic brings into focus an alarming, man-made crisis and the heroes who are working every day to rise up against big plastic. After the film, learn more from our panelists about efforts underway in Oregon to reduce plastics and ways that you can get involved.
The panel discussion will provide an opportunity for you to ask local experts about plastic pollution issues and solutions.
Our panel will include:
- Kelly Bell, Lane County Master Recyclers Coordinator
- Britte Kirsch, Lane County Master Recycler
- Megan Ponder, The Story of Plastic Producer
- Charlie Plybon, Oregon Policy Manager for Surfrider Foundation
Attendees will receive a link to stream the film on their own 48 hours before the panel discussion. The link will be delivered to you at the email address you use to RSVP here. In that same email, you will also receive zoom info for the panel discussion. Please watch the film before the panel discussion.
