Description

The Stories of our Gardens is an all-day premier suburban gardening forum focusing on bringing together suburban home, school and community gardeners from across greater Washington, DC to meet at the crossroads where gardeners of all levels can collaborate and learn from each other. Our goal is to offer a quality informal gardening educational program to a community of gardeners. Attendees will be able to network and find ways to improve their gardening skills via group roundtable discussions, interactive and hands-on workshops and lots more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to build a diverse and collective network of new kindred spirits of the soil. Keynote speakers and presenters will inspire attendees to try new and emerging gardening techniques and processes by offering a variety of gardening lectures on growing your best gardens. We'll offer a food preservation and healthy cooking demonstrations to show you how to make the best of your bountiful harvest throughout the year. The event will feature local non-profits, CSAs, and local green businesses offering a variety of helpful gardening products and service vendors.

We look forward to an informative and delightful gardening event where you will explore money-saving, economical, natural and organic growing techniques that will bring you a bounty of healthy nutritious food from your gardens. In addition to the presentations and hands-on workshops offered, you will have the opportunity to visit our vendors’ showcases of various gardening products to help you kick up your gardens in many ways.
