Event description

Description

If you're a Stephen King fan, you know that Bangor, Maine is the inspiration for the fictional town of Derry, which provides the backdrop for several of King’s novels and short stories. We will take a journey through the streets of "Derry" to check out the many places King used in his novels, including but not limited to, The Stanpipe, Mt Hope Cemetery, the Paul Bunyan statue, and of course, King's home. Your guide is knowledgeable in all things King, and will give you an informative and gripping peek into the mind of the famous author.

Our "homebase" will be the beautiful Vacationland Inn, in Brewer, Maine, just 5 minutes outside the greater Bangor area. Guests will choose which tour they would like to take... There will be one tour at 10am and one tour at 2pm, each lasting about 3 hours. After some free time to do a little exploring on your own, we will meet at the Vacationland Inn for dinner and entertainment, including a group reading from a psychic medium (Name to be announced at a later date), comedy from New England native Duke Mulberry and Stephen King Trivia, with prizes! Rooms at the Vacationland Inn are at a discounted price for all attendees. Just give them a call at (207) 989-5450 and use the code : SKDERRY to get your discount.
