About the The Stay-at-Home! Literary Festival
The Stay-at-Home! Literary Festival is a celebration of books and writing, preventing loneliness and championing connectivity and community amidst social distancing. With an emphasis on both inclusivity and accessibility, this is a festival for those who might not feel able or comfortable to attend a physical literary event.
For the 2021 Stay-at-Home! Festival, we are drawing upon the wisdom found in The Danger of a Single Story, Chimamanda Adichie's treatise about the unintended consequences of unquestioned narratives. This year's festival will include a more diverse roster of writers and industry professionals, offering unique perspectives from a wide range of backgrounds and expertise. We aim to make sure that all festival-goers feel welcome, regardless of their writing experience or reading preference. Our hope is that the festival continues to build community while being accessible to all.
This year, we are also working with libraries all over the UK to enable communities everywhere to participate, so watch out for our announcements for workshops with writers local to libraries and library-based events. If you haven't already, please follow us on Twitter (@stayathomefest), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/SaHFest/) and Instagram (IG: @stayathomelitfest). And you can always drop us a line at stayathomefest@gmail.com
