About this event
What is The Stammering Collective?
The Stammering Collective connects clinical, cultural and creative practice in stammering. The collective is made up of fifteen contributors from Ireland, the UK, the US, and Canada, including speech and language therapists, academics and artists, amongst others. It invites other voices from the broader stammering community to join the discussions – expanding and enriching the present collective.
What is the purpose of The Stammering Collective’s website?
The website documents the flow and exchange of ideas shared during a series of workshops by The Stammering Collective in 2021. Generative conversations took place between the clinical, cultural and creative strands that reflect each contributor’s specific experiences of stammering. The topics that emerged overlap and inform each other and the website works to represent that flow/exchange of ideas in a way that emulates the kinds of generative conversations that continue to be had.
