The Spring Quartet plus the Christian Scott Sextet
Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM (CST)
New Orleans, LA
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation presents a very special concert in our Jazz Journey series.
The headline attraction is a special assembly of four legendary jazz musicians - drummer Jack DeJohnette, saxophonist Joe Lovano, bass player Esperanza Spalding and pianist Leo Genovese - performing together as the once-in-a-lifetime ensemble being billed as The Spring Quartet.
Opening the show will be the Grammy-nominated trumpeter and New Orleans native Christian Scott and his sextet.
The concert takes place at the Civic Theater (510 O'Keefe Ave., New Orleans, LA 70113). Doors open at 7:00 p.m. The concert starts at 8:00 p.m. Seating is by general admission (no reserved seats).
This concert previously was announced as a free event. Due to what we expect will be intense demand for seats, we have instituted the almost-free ticket price of $5. Tickets purchased online in advance will guarantee admission (but not reserved seats). Depending on availability, tickets also will be available for purchase at the door. Only two advance tickets per order may be purchased.
