Event description

Description

Are you ready to take your project to the next level visually? Here’s how.

How do you tell a good story visually? How do camera angles create relationships? How do you build powerful interest or momentum in a scene without changing a word of your script? These are the creative questions directors and storyboard artists get to wrangle with in all facets of film production, TV commercials, Netflix dramas, video games, and feature animation. Best of all, storyboard artists—those who draw out the scenes that are later filmed—are always needed on productions around town and around the world.

In this three-hour workshop, Emmy Award-winning storyboard artist and director John Over will lead you through the most important aspects of filmed storytelling: Story, the Storyboard, Visual Style, useful computer programs, and studio job specifics.

After that, you’ll get the opportunity to plan some funny and dramatic scenes along with Mr. Over. And he’ll give you direct feedback and advice on your work!

So come out for some creative, no-hassle fun as you learn all the requirements for effective visual storytelling!
