Renowned scholar the Very Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas will lecture about the soul of our nation and the meaning of God's justice.

About this Event

Renowned scholar the Very Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas will give a lecture about what "making America great again" tells us about the soul of our nation and the meaning of God's justice. Join us as we explore with Dr. Douglas some of the most difficult issues facing Americans as we prepare for the 2020 election. The lecture is free and open to the public. Dr. Douglas's books will be for sale.

The Very Reverend Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas is Dean of the Episcopal Divinity School at Union Theological Seminary and Professor of Theology at Union. She also serves as Canon Theologian at the Washington National Cathedral and Theologian in Residence at Trinity Church Wall Street. She is the author of many articles and five books, including Sexuality and the Black Church: A Womanist Perspective and Stand Your Ground: Black Bodies and the Justice of God. Her academic work has focused on womanist theology, sexuality and the black church.
