Join us for the next event in our new series designed to help New Forest storytellers connect with the powerful natural narratives of our landscape.
Each winter, the Solent coastline becomes a sanctuary for over 125,000 ducks, geese, and wading birds, including 10% of the global population of dark-bellied brent geese. During the summer months it is home to breeding migrant birds such as common, little and sandwich terns and Mediterranean gulls. Its expansive mudflats, salt marshes and shingle beaches make it a haven for wildlife — and a rich source of inspiration for those who share the stories of the New Forest with visitors and audiences.’
The walk will be led by Tony from Bird Aware Solent — a passionate ranger with a background in education and a deep love for the natural world. His knowledge and enthusiasm make him the perfect guide for this immersive and eye-opening afternoon.
