Robin Hanson is an associate professor of economics at George Mason University, and a research associate at the Future of Humanity Institute of Oxford University. He blogs at OvercomingBias.com. He has studied prediction markets since 1988. He was a principal architect of several such systems, including Ideosphere, DAGGRE, SciCast, and the Policy Analysis Market, cancelled amid controversy by the Department of Defense in 2003. Robin’s new book THE AGE OF EM: Work, Love, and Life When Robots Rule the Earth was published by Oxford in June. Robin has elected to have his head cryonically preserved when medicine declares him dead.
Bryan Caplan is a Professor of Economics at George Mason University and blogger for EconLog. He is the author of The Myth of the Rational Voter, named "the best political book of the year" by the New York Times, and Selfish Reasons to Have More Kids.
