Event description

Description

On Friday, April 26 at 7pm, join Cary Institute for a presentation by evolutionary biologist Alex Dehgan, founder and CEO of Conservation X Labs, and former chief scientist at USAID.

Dehgan will discuss his new book The Snow Leopard Project. In 2006, Dehgan traveled to Kabul to build the Wildlife Conservation Society's Afghanistan Program – an effort aimed at protecting the country's unique ecosystems, which had been decimated by decades of war. Learn how Dehgan campaigned to stop endangered snow leopard poaching and establish Afghanistan's first national park, Band-e Amir.

The event will be held in the Cary Institute auditorium. Registration for general admission is required. Seating is first come, first served. Registration does not guarantee a seat inside the auditorium. Books will be available for purchase from Merritt Bookstore.

Aldo Leopold Society members may contact Vicki Doyle for reserved seating at (845) 677-7600 x203 or doylev@caryinstitute.org.
