A hearty blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers held together by an Indonesian Bezuki binder leaf are seamlessly rolled in a dark, oily, and high-priming Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The smoke is ultra-smooth with well-balanced layers of earth, charred wood, sweet and peppery spices, espresso, and some pleasant floral notes. We don’t source whiskey from elsewhere and we never will. Our bourbon is made – from corn-to-cork – in Hye, Texas, one barrel at a time. It’s handcrafted from a sweet mash of premium, #1 food-grade corn, soft red winter wheat from local farms, and two row barley.

Balmorhea: It gives us great pleasure to introduce the beautiful Balmorhea. This magnificent Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is bold but majestically-crafted, having been aged four years in new American white oak barrels, then transferred to a second new American white oak barrel, and aged for one year. Merchants Cigar Bar is a sleek midcentury styled lounge that transports guests to another place and time. True to the age of the decadent Havana High Life – legal indoor smoking, fresh sourced cocktail ingredients, and music playing till the early morning hours. Merchants architecture and decor is alluring and authentic. Every element is a modern adaptation of classic design. Guests descend down a striking mahogany paneled staircase brought to life with brass accents, floor to ceiling bronze mirrors, and diffused lights. Upon entering the lounge, a luxurious custom brass bar greets guests to the right, as intimate tables and bespoke leather booths welcome couples and larger groups to the left.
