Hey Smilers! In honor of craniofacial acceptance month, The Smile Stroll is occurring on September 24, 2016. The Smile Stroll is a 5k awareness walk promoting the awareness of craniofacial anomalies. There will also be a silent auction, guest speakers, snacks, and resources pertaining to craniofacial anomalies. Stroll beautiful Hummel Park to raise craniofacial awareness. The proceeds will be donated to Camp About Face (a recreational therapeutic summer camp for children with craniofacial anomalies ages 8-18).
As someone who has experienced the life changing benefits of the camp myself, it is important for this camp to continue to thrive. Every summer, Camp About Face provides children born with craniofacial anomalies the chance to be themselves, make new friendships and build lasting skills that lead to a lifetime of success. Through therapeutic recreational activities designed to enhance self-esteem, campers learn self reliance and confidence while completing challenging and fun activities. Watch the video to hear from the campers and how much Camp About Face has impacted their lives.
