The panel discussion will explore the history of America’s criminal justice system and the values that have shaped it, such as values of retribution vs. rehabilitation. We will discuss the deeply rooted racial disparities within the system, and how organizations are revolutionizing the way we think of incarceration by pushing beyond mere reform, toward the importance of decarceration.
