Join The Sill and The Horticult, Chantal Aida Gordon and Ryan Benoit, for an exclusive Window Box Design workshop on Wednesday, September 18th at The Sill's UWS store in New York.

Get your houseplants in line and learn a creative new way to arrange them in a window box! Create a wild arrangement of tropical plants and get your hands dirty by potting and building your own window box. We will show you how to put your unique spin on a classic window box, including plant combinations, potting, and care tips. Then we’ll guide you through adding a quick and easy DIY trellis to your box for perching and displaying air plants. You will take home your new creation and a copy of How to Window Box. Plus enjoy wine while you DIY!

We have all the supplies you need. This class is good for all level!

Space is limited so we recommend buying your ticket* ASAP! *All tickets are final sale.

About The Horticult:

Raised on the East Coast, Chantal’s journey into plants started when she was working on a novel about a community garden in Harlem. But she didn’t really start getting her hands dirty until she co-founded The Horticult with Ryan Benoit—writing about vibrant gardens of every stripe across the country and around the world, but from a Southern California point of view. Co-author of How to Window Box, Chantal has also written for T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, and American Short Fiction. She currently lives and gardens in Northeast Los Angeles.

Ryan Benoit is a furniture designer, engineer, gardener, and inventor. He is the co-founder of The Horticult, co-author of How to Window Box and inventor of SkyPots™. His custom design work for The Horticult has been featured in the New York Times and Better Homes and Gardens. Ryan’s pieces combine repurposed, tech-friendly attributes with a clean, modern aesthetic and a lot of green. Ryan currently lives in La Jolla, CA.

Their book How to Window Box (Clarkson Potter) shows how to grow, arrange, and love your favorite small-space plants, indoors and out.
