Showcasing a wide variety of early cinema in the best available formats, The Silent Treatment is a long-running silent movie film series curated by film archivists Brandee Cox and Steven Hill.




The Daughter of Dawn (1920)

Rediscovered by a private detective paid in old film reels, this lost silent film features an all-Native American cast of 300 Kiowas and Comanches—including the son and daughter of famed Comanche leader Quanah Parker.

Directed by Norbert A. Myles | Starring Esther LeBarre, White Parker, and Jack Sankey-doty | Restored by the Oklahoma Historical Society with new orchestral score by David Yeagley
