Neil Schneider

Neil Schneider, Executive Director, The Immersive Technology Alliance (The ITA)

Non-profit and non-proprietary, The Immersive Technology Alliance is the official voice and standards body for technologies like augmented reality, virtual reality, stereoscopic 3D, gesture technology, and more.  The alliance has a growing membership of over thirty member companies and organizations.  Mr. Schneider is also the Founder of Meant to be Seen, the recognized birthplace of the Oculus Rift, open source Vireio Perception VR drivers, Minecraft VR, and more.  The alliance and Mr. Schneider's other work have been featured by Popular Mechanics, Wired Magazine, Time Magazine, Tom's Hardware and more.  Basic level ITA membership is free for qualified content makers, and special arrangements are available for applicable technology start-ups.

Karl Krantz

Karl Krantz, Founder of Silicon Valley Virtual Reality/Creator of VR LaunchPad

A big challenge with VR devices like the Oculus Rift is the Windows desktop isn't easily viewable in VR space, and it's too difficult to launch programs while wearing an HMD.  VR Launchpad is a software launcher that makes it possible to launch games and software without having to take the HMD off to see the desktop.  Mr. Krantz is also the Founder of the very successful SVVR Meetup group and annual conference.

Amir Rubin

Amir Rubin, CEO of Sixense

Sixense has been a recognized leader in gesture technology development, and their work has been licensed out to some top product manufacturers.  Their most recent work is the impending launch of the Sixense STEM system that not only features hand controllers, they also offer individual STEM trackers that can be used to add accurate positional tracking to nearly any device.

Highlight demonstrations include:

  • Glasses-Free stereoscopic 3D display prototypes by Dimension Technologies Inc.
  • Cloudhead Games' The Gallery: The Six Elements
  • Sixense MakeVR
  • Vanguard Valikyrie
  • ImmersiON-VRelia's latest HMD prototypes
  • Jaunt VR
