With publications such as Harvard Business Review declaring, "The End of Solution Sales," our friends at RAIN Group wanted to know if this is true or not, how selling is changing, and what sellers need to do to maximize their success.

To find out, they posed this question: "What are the winners of actual sales opportunities doing differently than the sellers who come in second place?"

RAIN Group studied more than 700 business-to-business purchases made across industries by buyers who represented a total of $3.1 billion in annual purchasing power. They found that the sellers who win the sale don't just sell differently, they sell radically differently than the second-place finishers.

Todd and I asked Mike Schultz, President of RAIN Group, to come and share with us what they learned.

Meet Todd!

Todd Schnick has advised hundreds of organizations ranging from tech startups to multi-million dollar organizations. He serves as a marketing, sales, and business strategist.

He has published four books, has been a successful writer/blogger since 2008, and regularly speaks.

As a radio show host and producer, he has hosted thousands of business talk shows in his Atlanta studio, over the internet, and on trade show floors across North America.

Todd also spent many years as a political strategist, managing races from governor to magistrate judge. He served as Executive Director of two state Republican political organizations (Nevada and Georgia), Political Director of Florida, and as an aide to a U.S. Congressman.

He lives in Decatur, Georgia (Metro Atlanta) with his wife Stephanie and their two dogs. He is a distance runner and voracious reader.
