Event description

Description

Spend a day in an interactive conversation with author Paul Young and friends about the worldwide phenomenon of his novel The Shack, now a newly released motion picture!

Background

A little over ten years ago, William Paul Young wrote and delivered copies of a story to his children as Christmas gifts. It never crossed his mind to make it available for public consumption. But in the past decade, the worldwide phenomenon of The Shack exploded in ways that the unassuming best-selling author never saw coming. The work sold over 20 million copies, sat atop the New York Times Best Seller list for over a year, and was awarded the Diamond Award for sales of over 10 million copies by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.

The book has recently been made into a major motion picture, and once again The Shack finds itself in the center of a swirling national dialogue about the nature of God in a broken world.

The Shack Seminar

This event allows the opportunity to ask Paul Young questions about his book, discover the intent behind more controversial passages, and discover little-known facts about the making of the film adaptation of The Shack. William Paul Young is joined by theologians John MacMurray and Dr. C. Baxter Kruger as they respond to real people during this Saturday morning event at Northland Church. Lunch will be provided for an additional $10.
