Authentic Late-Period Beatles
The Shabby Road Orchestra is a 12-piece Minneapolis ensemble dedicated to the faithful live recreation of the Beatles’ late-period recordings, note-for-note as heard on the band’s final five albums. Every show is different, but always includes a wide-ranging mix of iconic songs and rarely-performed material from Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Abbey Road and Let it Be, as well B-sides and singles. The band formed in 2017, performing each of the band’s final five albums from start to finish on the 50th anniversary of their release. “We play the music the Beatles never performed, with jokes.”

Adam Levy (guitars, vocals), is a Minneapolis-based songwriter and performer for the critically-acclaimed bands the Honeydogs and the folk-rock trio Turn, Turn, Turn.
John Eller (guitars, piano, vocals) is a versatile songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist for area bands including Zeppo, Shiny Lights, Martin Zeller’s Neil Diamond Tribute, and the First Ave Bowie Tribute.
Joe Carey (guitars, vocals) is a St. Paul-based songwriter who has performed and recorded throughout Minnesota.
Brandon Sampson (guitars, vocals), is a vocalist and bandleader for Six Mile Grove, an acclaimed Americana band based in southern Minnesota.
John Fields (bass) is a multi-instrumentalist and music producer based in Minneapolis who has worked with some of the biggest performers in pop music.
Ken Chastain (drums, vocals) is a Minneapolis-based audio engineer who has contributed to dozens of influential albums and national touring shows, including the Semisonic live show, and the New Standards Holiday Show.
Tom Scott (keyboards, sound effects, percussion) is a composer, conductor and commercial audio engineer who has created film soundtracks, advertising music, and is a veteran of area stages.
Paul Scott (piano) is a Rochester-based musician who has also performed shows dedicated to the music of Elton John, Pink Floyd, ABBA and Billy Joel.
David Foley (horns, flute, sax, clarinet) is a versatile brass and woodwind player who performs widely on area stages for numerous tribute and other rock shows.
Andy Nelson (woodwinds) is a versatile reed and flute player who is also a music instructor based in St. Paul.
John Sievers (trombone) is Rochester-based instructor and bandleader for the jazz trio the D’Sievers. He plays widely throughout southern Minnesota with a variety of original and cover bands.
Jacqueline Ultan (cello) is a versatile composer and improvisational cellist who has recorded and collaborated with a host of acclaimed performers, including Dan Wilson, The Jayhawks, J.D. Steele and Chan Poling. She teaches at MacPhail and performs in the Dust of Suns, the Laurels String Quartet, the Brazilian music duo CORDA, The Starfolk, Sans le Systeme and elsewhere.
