Event description

Description

An evidence-based workshop to help you build your relational toolkit and have happy, healthy and lasting relationships.

Bring a partner and dive into this 3 hour experiential workshop! We will use Authentic Relating Games to explore and practice the work of Drs. John and Julie Gottman. You will leave with practical tools to help strengthen your relationship and increase your emotional intelligence.

Benefits:
* Learn to identify and avoid the Four Horsemen of Relationship Apocalypse
* Gain a better understanding of how to navigate conflict
* Practice tools for helping your partner feel heard, seen and loved
* Strengthen your immune system, and extend your lifespan (somewhat incredibly, research shows that happy couples live longer, healthier lives than either divorced people or unhappily married couples). https://eric.ed.gov/?id=EJ202790

Facilitated by Jesse French.

Please come with a partner, whether that's a friend to practice with, or someone with whom you are currently in relationship.

$40 per couple. Register here to reserve your spot!

This workshop is based on the book "The 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work" by John Gottman, Ph.D. and Nan Silver. The book (and Dr. Gottman's body of work) provides a research-based approach to strengthening relationships - based in part on sixteen years of research conducted at the University of Washington, partially funded by a National Institute of Mental Health grant.
