"The Secret to a Happy Ending"
Directed by filmmaker, Barr Weissman, "The Secret to a Happy Ending" documents the band, Drive-By Truckers, and their fans. By following the band during years of touring and recording, Weissman captures the personal struggles of the members, their changing lives, and the ways the band held together during turbulent times. The film includes behind-the-scenes footage on the road and in the studio as well as scenes from live performances. By watching the film, audience members will gain a true understanding of the DBTs roots in Alabama and Georgia and the overall changing context of the American South. Appearances by band members before and after the screening will offer an opportunity to ask questions and explore the personal perspective of the musicians on their music, their heritage, and the future.
