Esther Perel is recognized as one of the most insightful and provocative voices on personal and professional relationships and the complex science behind human interaction. She is the best-selling author of Mating in Captivity: Unlocking Erotic Intelligence, translated into 25 languages. Fluent in nine of them, the Belgian native is a practicing psychotherapist, celebrated speaker and organizational consultant to Fortune 500 companies. The New York Times, in a cover story, named her the most important game changer on sexuality and relationships since Dr. Ruth. Her critically acclaimed viral TED talk reached nearly 5 million viewers in the first year.
Elena Brower is mama, teacher, speaker, and co-author of Art of Attention, Elena has been teaching yoga and meditation since 1999. After graduating from Cornell University in 1992 with a design degree, she worked as a textile and apparel designer for 6 years, and has been studying with master yoga teachers since 1997. Influenced by several traditions, Elena offers yoga and meditation as a way to approach our world with realistic reverence and gratitude. Her classes are a masterful, candid blend of artful alignment and attention cues for your body, mind and heart. Each Saturday, she teaches at ABC Home in the sanctuary at 11am. From the Museum of Modern Art to the Great Lawn at Central Park, from the Old Port of Montreal to the Eiffel Tower, Elena is honoured to offer larger-scale experiences of yoga and meditation, but her true service is in shifting awareness within the smallest interactions; one family, one household at a time. Elena’s online meditation coursework, intended for beginners and meditators seeking consistent practice, is gaining global recognition for its creativity and accessibility. She’s now offering The Path, a weekly full-spectrum meditation class in NYC, bringing meditation to a broader audience of professionals and creatives.
Global Glue Project was founded with the mission to discover the glue that holds couples together. Four years later, the team has now filmed over 50 couples across the globe, without any discrimination of race, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation. Couples from the US, China, Denmark, South Korea, India, Japan, Russia, and Romania, candidly share the glue that holds them together, as well as the obstacles they have overcome. These honest accounts give others a roadmap and tools for how to navigate long-term relationships. The founders' great-grandparents, who were married for nearly 75 years, inspired Global Glue Project. Witnessing the divorces of friends and family and the changing landscape of relationship, the founders asked the question, "Does love need a conservation effort?" and the resounding answer has been, "Yes." The team is dedicated to building an archive of hundreds of years of relationship experience and wisdom.
