The Second Annual O.H. “Bud” Frazier Transplant Roundup
The field of transplantation and circulatory support is continuously evolving and improving. CHI St Luke’s Health Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is hosting the 2nd Annual O.H. “Bud” Frazier Transplant Roundup, aimed at showcasing a comprehensive docket of multidisciplinary transplant and VAD presentations exploring current therapies and advances.
This year’s conference will include a special dedication to pioneer and legend, Dr. O.H. “Bud” Frazier. Dr. Frazier is a globally recognized as a catalyst for innovation in the treatment of advanced heart failure and in the fields of heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. The Transplant Roundup will showcase a panel of the St. Luke’s transplant founders across all organ programs to offer a glimpse into the world of transplant and medical innovation of 30 years ago.
The program will also present contemporary topics such as composite tissue transplantation, the benefits of early implantation of LVADS, emerging therapies for hepatitis C, pulmonary hypertension, pregnancy in transplant, women’s considerations in transplant, among a host of multidisciplinary presentations in transplant support services.
- CME: Texas Heart® Institute accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
- CNE: CHI St. Luke’s Health–Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
- CEPTC: CHI St. Luke’s Health–Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is an approved provider by the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC) of Continuing Education Points for Transplant Certification (CEPTCs).
- Social Work: CHI St. Luke’s Health–Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is an approved provider by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiner (TSBSWE). 8.0 contact hours will be awarded for successful completion of this activity.
