SPEAKER: Bob Gale in Conversation with past LACS president David Aronoff

Please join us for an informal conversation with Bob Gale.

Bob is an Oscar-nominated Screenwriter-Producer-Director, best known as co-creator, co-writer and co-producer of Back to the Future and its sequels. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Bob graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Cinema from the University of Southern California where he met and began his association with his long-time collaborator, Robert Zemeckis. Bob has written or co-written over 30 screenplays and his other film credits include 1941, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Used Cars, Trespass and Interstate 60, the latter which he directed.  

In addition to his film and television work, and being the “Gatekeeper” for the BTTF Franchise, Bob has written comic books including Spider-Man, Batman and IDW's Back to the Future title, thus proving to his father that he did not waste hours and hours reading comics in his youth. (Bob’s father was the prominent St. Louis attorney Mark Gale of Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale).  

Bob has also served as an expert witness in over 25 plagiarism lawsuits, even though this has occasionally required him to wear a suit and tie. 

The upcoming Back to the Future The Musical is his first foray into writing for the stage.

Please note that the Motor Gate parking lot is a different parking lot than prior years, and is a longer distance to the Rita Hayworth Dining Room. Please allow 15 minutes for parking and walking to the location. If you have difficulty walking, please contact Jim Gladstone to arrange accommodation.



Hors d’oeuvres: 6:00 p.m.

Dinner: 7:00 p.m.

Program 8:00 p.m.



The price for the dinner will be $85 for on-line registration and $95 at the door. 

Members will be given registration priority over Associates. Guests are not permitted. 

Associates, please send an e-mail via the following “Contact Us” link expressing your desire to attend and we will let you know on May 31st if there is room; you may register then.



You may cancel your registration at any time. However, refunds will not be issued for cancellations requested after the registration deadline. Alternatively, you may designate someone else to attend in your place. The registration deadline is Thursday, June 6, 2019.


This event does NOT qualify for MCLE credit.
