The Second Annual A2 Climate Teach-In

Join us for the second annual A2 Climate Teach-In, an exciting community event that raises awareness and fosters conversations about climate actions. Taking place on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Genesis of Ann Arbor, this in-person gathering promises to be both informative and engaging.

We start off hearing from voices of our youth -- The opening address is Our Hopes for the future: Representatives from the Ann Arbor Public Schools Freeman Environmental Youth Council.

U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Dingell will then deliver a keynote address.

interactive breakout sessions follow, providing information on eBikes, green banking, locally sourced food, climate justice in Michigan, climate advocacy groups to join, and more.

The closing address will feature Missy Stults, Ph.D., Director, City of Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations; A2Zero

During the networking session from 4:30 - 5:15pm, we will help you build your own Climate Toolkit to help you decide steps you can take to work toward a more sustainable future.

We hope you will take this opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired. By attending the A2 Climate Teach-In, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the impacts of climate change and how we can all work together to make a positive impact on our planet.

A note about security ...
Just as for a football game or concert, all visitors will pass through a security screening including a bag check, so please plan to arrive early. (You don't want to miss the opening speakers!) Also, please remember to bring your ID. Security personnel will be on-site at all times.
