“The Sea in the Forest” – A Unique Musical Experience in Bergen

We invite you to “Sea in the Forest”, an improvisational jazz and classical concert inspired by the works of M. K. Čiurlionis, the legendary Lithuanian composer.

The concert will feature two outstanding Lithuanian musicians: Liudas Mockūnas (saxophone) and Petras Geniušas (piano). This event celebrates the 150th anniversary of M. K. Čiurlionis and is free and open to everyone.

“Sea in the Forest” is more than just music, The event aims to showcase Lithuanian art and culture as part of the cultural exchange between Lithuania and Norway. For Bergen community, it’s a unique opportunity to experience an internationally recognized artistic performance rarely seen in Norway.

The event is organized by the Scandinavian-Lithuanian Culture Hub (SLOC), a nonprofit organization that promotes Lithuanian culture and builds connections with Scandinavia through concerts, exhibitions, and other cultural events. It is held in collaboration with the Lithuanian Embassy in Norway and with the support of Bergen Komunne.
