About this Event
Join us on Saturday, March 6th at 10:00 AM PST for a live webinar event: The Science of Word Learning with Dr. David Kilpatrick. The 90-minute presentation by Dr. Kilpatrick will be followed by a brief question and answer session.
Dr. Kilpatrick’s presentation will focus on how children learn to read words and why some children struggle. Understanding the nature of word-level reading development and word-level reading problems guides both effective assessment and intervention. This session explains how children build their sight word vocabulary via orthographic mapping and will discuss specific instructional techniques to help all children become skilled readers.
