About this Event

The Sapphire Sapphos, founded in 1979, was Washington D.C.’s “first ongoing political, social, and cultural group” for Black lesbians. 40 years after its founding, former members will reflect on their monumental organization and discuss its significance.

This event is free and open to all. Space is limited and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
