The Old Testament is replete with examples of God calling for a "Solemn Assembly". These unique days of consecration were not to be like any other regular assembling together of God's people, but rather a time of separation, crying unto The Lord, and corporate repentance (e.g. Joel 1:14), in order to hold back the impending judgments which were about to befall the people of God because of their sin.
ALL of the people were complicit in sinning against God and therefore, all were implicated and summoned to come before the Lord in humility.
It is our firm conviction that God has led us to sanctify a day for this one purpose: to SEEK THE FACE OF GOD.
