The Rural Minds Project Launch Event

Welcome to the official launch event of The Rural Minds Project! The Rural Minds Project is a VR educational experience developed by three Suffolk Doctors; Dr Daniel James, Dr Jordan Tsigarides and Dr Richard West in conjuction with Revolve Labs. The project, funded by the Felix Cobbold Trust, aims to address the growing mental health crisis in the UK's farming communities.

Poor mental health is a significant concern in agricultural workers; The RABI Big Farming Survey (2021) found that 36% of farmers are 'probably or possibly' depressed, 47% report constant anxiety, and only 8% of women and 12% of men describe their mental wellbeing as good. The Farm Safety Foundation reports that 95% of young farmers believe mental health is the biggest hidden problem facing agriculture today.
