The Rumpus Lo-Fi Los Angeles Film Festival

After surveying over a hundred recent indie premiers for an article on festival submission fees we decided to host our own film festival, inviting the movies we most wanted to see.
1:30pm S&M Sally: Directed by Michelle Ehlen. Winner of 5 best feature awards. A provocative queer feature film comedy about sex, love, and the most important question of all—who’s on top?
3:30pm PANEL: How to Film Festival. An inside view of the festival world, culture, and industry. Featuring Josh Mandel (programmer Narrative Features, Slamdance) Leslee Scallon (co-founder Dances With Films), Frances Levy-Vine (programmer Moonfaze Feminist Film Festival).
5pm Creedmoria: Directed by Alicia Swimmer. Winner: Best Narrative Feature Film Comedy Award Cinequest Film Festival; Audience Award Brooklyn Film Festival; Industry Choice Award Dances With Films.
7pm PANEL: Life Into Art Into Art, when books become movies. Featuring Janet Fitch (White Oleander, Paint It Black), Jerry Stahl (Permanent Midnight), Evan Wright (Generation Kill), Stephen Elliott (The Adderall Diaries) Anthony Swofford (Jarhead). Hosted by poet/performance artist Derrick Brown.
8:30pm World Premiere After Adderall: directed by Stephen Elliott. The movie that answers the question, What would happen if James Franco made a movie about your life?
Followed by a musical set by Noveller
