Event description

Description

What are the challenges of teaching as a woman? How do gender and race intersect in students' perception of the quality of instruction? Are there specific stereotypes of "the teacher," and what happens if you do not conform to them? The aim of this panel is to raise awareness about students' biases and expectations especially with respect to a teacher’s gender and race, but it will also consider gendered pedagogical stereotypes more generally.

Featuring Drs. Eleonora Buonocore, Aruna Srivastava, and Melanee Thomas
