The Role of Counsel for a Conservatee

Has conservatorship practice ever been more exciting? Netflix movies, #FreeBritney, and Congressional hearings have everyone asking what can be done to improve the conservatorship system. In this webinar, we will examine the proper role of conservatee attorneys in making sure the system provides justice for their clients. We will cover defense attorney requirements after AB 1194 was signed into law, concerns about how temporary conservatorships intersect with conservatee’s rights, attacking capacity determinations, and pushing for least restrictive alternatives.

Presenters: Tony Chicotel, Esq., Senior Staff Attorney & Lisa MacCarley, Esq., Glendale, CA
