Original fine art prints are an exceptionally versatile and economical choice for any interior project. As Canada’s leading printmaking centre, Open Studio Print Sales Gallery represents over 150 Canadian artists whose artwork can be found in residential and corporate interiors the world over, from prestigious addresses such as Canada House (London, U.K.) to even the most modest, private homes in Toronto.
Open Studio Print Sales Gallery is hosting a lecture and studio tour, The Role of Art in Designed Spaces: Using Original Fine Art Prints to Elevate Interiors, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, 6:30-8:00pm, showcasing a selection of corporate and residential interior design projects featuring prints by artists represented by the Open Studio Print Sales Gallery. Original prints will be on view so you can see first-hand the broad range of techniques, themes, and aesthetic approaches that can be found across the medium of printmaking. There will also be a brief tour of our printmaking studio and overview of printmaking techniques: screenprinting, intaglio (etching), relief and lithography.
This lecture is 1 hour in length, in addition to which there will be a studio tour. The presentation and studio tour will be followed by an informal reception with complimentary refreshments and snacks, and opportunity to meet some of our artists.
