The Road Less Travelled - Moorgate to Bloomsbury
Sat, July 8, 2017, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM BST
It is said that we would get to know London better if we only varied our walking routes. Join professionally-qualified tour guide Colin Davey on a journey where we will navigate our way from the City to the edge of Bloomsbury, with minimal use of main roads. The walk will include some readings.
We start at 11am from outside M&S's flagship City store, and finish close to Russell Square. We will take in a shortish lunch break in the Farringdon area (own lunch arrangements to be made), and will adjourn to a pub afterwards for those who would like refreshment. Finish is no later than 3pm.
Nearest tube station is Moorgate. Because of the station's three exits, it is fatal to say come out of the station and turn right/left. So the guidance for those not satnav driven is get on to Moorgate itself, and look away from the City towards traffic lights a 100 metres or so away. M&S is just past the crossroads, on the right-hand side.
