Event Details

This will be a two-speaker event:

As of this writing in late 2012, a resolution on the so called "fiscal cliff has still not been found. Even if some agreements are reached, it is clear that there will be more far-reaching issues to be addressed in the months and years ahead. We continue to have political gridlock in the U.S., a weak global economy, and debt problems in the U.S. and countries across the globe. In this environment, what investment strategy makes sense? Despite the array of challenges confronting us, our first speaker, Kevin Gahagan, advocates maintaining one's investment discipline - but having a discipline to maintain. Gahagan will discuss the implications of portfolio structure and strategy in a variety of economic and interest rate environments. He'll also comment on the research on investor behavior and discuss strategies for combating the biases that inevitably influence our investment decisions.
