Since The Reverend Horton Heat formed in 1985, they have acquired quite a resume. The band has released nine studio albums, and one holiday album all while performing live over the past 20 years. They have described their sound as "country-fed punkability" and have seemed to combine country, punk, big band, swing, and rockabilly together. Their lyrics are often humorous and The Reverend Horton Heat's frontman, Jim Health who is also known as "The Rev", has developed a devoted cult following due to his blistering and energetic stage performance. His antics on stage may seem a little crazy but Health claims he wouldn't have it any other way. He has said, "I think it's cool we've lasted this long. People still come out to see us play after all these years, all the shows and all the tours. It's amazing. I mean, I get to sing songs about cars I love, drinking, and chasing girls. Beats the hell out of the alternative." Come check out what all the hype is about when The Reverend Horton Heat play at Lafayette Brewing Company this spring!
