The Returning Light: A winter women’s circle for intention, not goals

By Sisterhood UP-cycle - Surbiton

Overview

A gentle winter women’s circle to pause, breathe, and set intentions for the year ahead — without pressure or performance.

The Returning Light

A winter women’s circle for intention, not goals

January is still winter.
The nights are long, the pace is slower — and yet, since the solstice, the light has begun to return.

This women’s circle is a gentle pause to mark that turning point.
Not a push for productivity. Not a goal-setting workshop.
Just a warm, grounded space to slow down, reflect, and set intentions that feel true — without forcing anything.

Women have gathered like this for centuries, especially in the darker months — to share warmth, stories, and presence; to rest together; to remember that we don’t have to do life alone. This evening is a small return to that rhythm.

What to expect

  • A calm, intimate circle (small group)
  • Soft lighting, warmth, and a sense of ease
  • A gentle grounding opening
  • Optional sharing (no pressure to speak)
  • A simple intention-setting ritual (intentions, not goals)
  • Light movement to help the body wake slowly
  • A confidential, non-judgemental space

This is not therapy, and there’s no fixing or advice-giving.
You’re welcome exactly as you are — tired, hopeful, uncertain, or simply curious.

Who this is for

This circle is for women who:

  • want a softer start to the year
  • feel tired of “New Year, new you” pressure
  • crave connection without performance
  • value reflection, warmth, and community in winter

No previous experience with women’s circles is needed.
