Description
Join us in celebration of The Representation Project’s fifth anniversary! This year, we are launching a series of intimate events featuring a celebrity guest and The Representation Project Founder and CEO Jennifer Siebel Newsom discussing themes such as the challenges of modern motherhood, parenting in a media-driven world, and what it really means to be a “wonder woman.”
We are kicking off the series with a Mother’s Day luncheon in Marin on Wednesday, May 11th to bring together our extraordinary network of Bay Area supporters. The event will be held on the lawn of the Livermore Pavilion at the Marin Art and Garden Center, just outside of The Representation Project headquarters.
We will be joined by honorary guest, renowned film star Connie Nielsen (of Gladiator, The Devil’s Advocate and the upcoming Wonder Woman film) who as a working mother of two in Hollywood has a lot of personal experience and wisdom to share.
Please join us at this intimate event supporting The Representation Project’s vision of a world free of harmful gender stereotypes and social injustices. Proceeds from ticket and table sales to benefit The Representation Project (a 501c3 organization).
About the organizer

The Representation Project inspires individuals and communities to challenge and overcome limiting stereotypes so that everyone, regardless of gender, race, class, age, sexual orientation, or circumstance, can fulfill their human potential.
Jennifer Siebel Newsom founded The Representation Project in response to the overwhelming public demand for ongoing education and social action in support of her first film Miss Representation. We've since become well known for releasing Jennifer's second directorial documentary, The Mask You Live In, and campaigns such as #AskHerMore and #NotBuyingIt.
