Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, REGENERATE -------------->>> The new "R"!
With 3.8 billion years of R&D experience our natural world is a master innovator and stellar model of ubiquitous design.
How can our cities, businesses, products and services help “create conditions conducive to life” like our natural world?
Focusing on economic metrics and business and investment standards, authors Amy Larkin and Katherine Collins will discuss their recently published books that describe ways to build a regenerative economy - an economy that helps create conditions conducive to life on this planet.
7 pm - Drinks, hors d'oeuvres and networking
7:30 pm - Two 10 minute talks, followed by Q&A
8 pm - More drinks and networking!
Inspired by the ways of the honeybee, Katherine Collins will discuss her book, "The Nature of Investing: Resilient Investment Strategies through Biomimicry”. Drawing from over 20 years deep experience in finance plus formal studies in biomimicry and theology, Katherine will describe how we can reconnect with the natural world, engaging natural principles as guides for investing in an integrated, regenerative, beneficial way.
An award-winning entrepreneur and environmental activist, Amy Larkin will speak to her newly published book, “Environmental Debt: the Hidden Costs of a Changing Global Economy”. Amy will make the direct connections between our global environmental and financial crises and identify the (often hidden) levers for transformational change.

WHAT IS BIOMIMICRY
Biomimicry is a science which studies nature’s sustainability and regenerative design strategies and applies 3.8 billion years of design wisdom to solve global challenges.
Seeing nature as our mentor, rather than a warehouse of goods, biomimicry asks "what can we learn from nature?" vs "what can we take?". We welcome anyone to join and grow with our budding network.
