NO STARVING ARTISTS!
This is a saying you will hear but few are really making an impact to help artists and other creative professionals succeed in the world of business.
Internationally recognized Colorado artist and art business consultant Jimmy Sellars of Sellars Projects has teamed up with marketing expert and Artrepreneurship professor Neil McKenzie to offer the The Real Artists' Bootcamp. “This workshop series is different from other business for artists programs”, said Neil McKenzie, “most are about how to get into a gallery and then how to deal with rejection or are basic business programs sold to artists, we teach real world business and marketing solutions for artists and creative people”.
The Artist’s Boot Camp consists of four full day intensive sessions that cover what it takes to start and run an art business and to effectively build a brand and market one’s art. "There are a lot of classes out there that claim to offer artists the tools they need to succeed in business but never take into account the way that artists think and learn. We've taken that into consideration and designed a program that allows for artists to do business," said Jimmy Sellars about the Real Artists' Boot Camp.
The Real Artists' Boot Camp will include:
A networking session to meet your fellow classmates and instructors, 4 days of intensive hands-on activities actually putting together or revamping your art business, intense discussion on marketing and branding, tools for a successful business, print/web/social marketing, and the creation of your actual "visual" business plan.
