The Raising of America: Early Childhood and the Future of Our Nation
Event Information
Description
You're invited to a special screening of the opening episode of California Newsreel's "The Raising of America: Early Childhood and the Future of Our Nation," which will air this spring on PBS. From the producers of "Unnatural Causes," this new documentary explores the importance of investing in early childhood development.
Following the screening, join King County Executive Dow Constantine, early learning advocates, educators, and more for a panel discussion about what it takes to ensure King County is a community where young children thrive.
Our region's ability to remain prosperous depends on everyone being able to reach his or her full potential. One of the smartest investments we can make is giving our children a strong start, from prenatal development through the course of their young lives.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments provided.
If you have requests for childcare, or require disability accommodations, please contact the event organizer at raisingof.america@kingcounty.gov
If your child is sick, please keep them home to prevent the spread of illness to others. Thank you for your understanding.
