Bing/Santospirito are launching their debut album across Tasmania, bringing their mesmerising audiovisual performance to the LongHouse.
About this event
A post-marsupial melodrama about the climate apocalypse and the end of memory.
Bing/Santospirito are Natalya Bing (violin) and Joshua Santospirito (guitar) and they're taking their epic and strange audiovisual performance The Quoll across Tasmania. The duo perform a hypnotic live soundtrack to the art-film starring Sally Rees as the The Quoll. which also features paintings by Joshua Santospirito of strange marsupial-headed creatures wandering the Tasmanian highlands.
This tour celebrates the release of the band's first LP, a live recording taken from The Quoll's first performance: Originally commissioned for Mona Foma 2021 and performed to sold out audiences at St Davids Cathedral, it is now being shown across Tasmania. The album is out now through Scratch Match Records (and will be available to purchase at the concert along with other merchandise).
