Event description
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Wayne County Executive Warren Evans on Fighting Poverty and Pushing for Criminal Justice Reform

About this Event

The forum will feature Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Wayne County Executive Warren Evans discussing the need to address poverty and push for criminal justice reform in building a more inclusive state. The leadership breakfast forum, which marks the first time both political leaders Nessel and Evans are appearing on The PuLSE Institute stage, is part of our CEOs on Poverty Series. Past forums have featured Mark Schlissel, president of the University of Michigan, Daniel Loepp, president and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Cindy Pasky, president and CEO of Strategic Staffing Solutions, Jerry Norcia, president and CEO of DTE Energy and Sandro DiNello, president and CEO of Flagstar Bank.

This particular forum will examine the kinds of inclusive policies and actions that should be taken to confront the unacceptable levels of inequality facing residents as well as highlight what efforts are being made by the offices of the Michigan Attorney General and the Wayne County Executive in that regard.

Bankole Thompson, the editor-in-chief of The PuLSE Institute and opinion columnist at The Detroit News is the forum moderator.

Doors open at 7:00am.
