Absolutely! This is for anyone who wants to travel to Japan or is just interested in the language.

What level are the lessons?

The course is aimed at people who are absolute beginners or low level and want to have a go at communicating in a new language.

Can I ask for something I want to learn?

Of course. This is your lesson. The teacher has a lot of experience and will do her best to accommodate. Sumire will cover the basics of making yourself understood in the language.

Is it just speaking?

Yes and no. There will be initial input by the teacher. Then,  there will an emphasis on student talk time. This will give you the best opportunity to practice what you learn while the teacher monitors and corrects where necessary.

Is it like school?

Only the good bits! Some people remember school in a negative way. This is why a relaxing pub setting is perfect. In this learning space, students realise that they have not only enjoyed learning but they have also gained confidence, which has a knock-on effect in other areas of their lives.

If I decide to join the course in the new year, what are the details?

Lessons will be on Fridays starting 9th January for six weeks from 3-4.30. It's £150 for the whole course and this includes bottomless tea, coffee, Pepsi Max and lemonade.
